January 13 & 14

Monday morning we went to Christiansburg. I wanted to thrift shop, and Quentin needed to pick up a couple more pieces to get our water fixed. He worked under the house getting all the corroded pieces to the pressure tank replaced but water was still not flowing freely into the house. He decided that the pump would have to be pulled which led him to find the pond in the back yard. A broken pipe was our problem all along.

This morning we went into our little town. We visited Schoolhouse Fabrics, the thrift store, and Family Dollar. In the afternoon I cleaned the living room windows and decluttered my bedroom and den. I cleaned some in the laundry room and threw out all of our old shoes that no one wears anymore.

We had someone come this evening to dig down to our water pipe. It was impossible to find it with a shovel. And we tried pretty hard!

I am hoping for running water tomorrow. It will be nice not to have to use a bucket of rain water to flush the toilets! 🙂

I forgot to ask you about your water! I hope it is working now. We are having trouble with our pump. It goes on and off. I haven’t been to Schoolhouse in a long time or Angels. Talk to you soon. God bless.
